Encapsulating Floors

Renovation projects often uncover substrates of all types that are not suitable to serve as the base for new finished flooring. To meet these needs, Barrier Corp. offers several products that provide customers with a brand new underlayment that can accommodate any flooring product required for renovation work. These encapsulating underlayments encase the existing substrate and provide a new, smooth finish for other applications.

They can be poured to a thickness of 1/8 to 2 inches, depending on the elevations and conditions of the floor. Underlayment strength ranges from 2,000 to 6,000 psi, and after application, the floor can be walked on within 3 to 4 hours, minimizing down time for trades.
